The DevOps and Cloud Engineering program teaches continuous integration and deployment, configuration management, and end-to-end automation. Students also learn about platform-as-a-service and infrastructure-as-a-service.

Training on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is integrated throughout our curriculum, ensuring that students understand its importance alongside core software engineering skills. The training addresses prompt engineering and the judicious use of AI tools, balancing efficiency with a strong understanding of fundamentals.
“DevOps combines programming–the Dev part–with systems administration–the Ops part. DevOps is about building the infrastructure to make software easy to use and scalable.
A DevOps Engineer uses and builds tools. They know when an action will cause problems and work to avoid them. They also work on recovery when these problems occur.

The DevOps and Cloud Engineering program spans 28 weeks. Classes meet Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30-9:30 p.m. CST and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. CST. Students attend their online classes live remotely during these weekly program periods. Classes feature a mix of lectures, presentations, and hands-on project time.
Preparing students for the tech workplace is essential to Code Platoon training. Our Beyond Tech eight-part career preparation workshop series begins during classes and continues after graduation with Career Services.

After graduation, Code Platoon’s Career Services team works with each graduate as needed to find full-time employment in DevOps and Cloud Engineering within six months of graduation.
Tuition for the DevOps and Cloud Engineering program is $20,000. A deposit of $500 is required after acceptance to secure your spot in the program. We’re here to help make your training more accessible—based on eligibility, students may be able to use GI Bill or VR&E to cover program costs. Scholarships are also available for accepted students who qualify.
